Hitting a Wall.

sometimes I feel like I'm hitting a wall
repeatedly hard
riggedly unfair

I bounce my head
almost a compulsion
but compulsion is inert
not an inertia towards an object
but mostly a subject

the distance between air and the wall
creates a gap where the head exists
a birthplace or a validation

it accompanies the motion
traps the destination
despite the whirling around and around

back to the same alignment
then I doubt
if it is the object or the subject
