Unfinished Fragments.
Collective Imagination is the Microscope into Reality
There are two ways collective imagination serves as a medium that magnifies the problems in society: fake news and innovation. The first is a negative construction, an imagination with few roots but mostly fabrication; the second is a positive construction, an imagination that is based on concrete questions and seeks solutions.
Running is a n-part sport
So I thought running is an one-part sport. A human being runs. QED.
Then at the beginning of my current marathon training, I realized it is a three-part sport. It involves the cardiovascular system, legs, and the mind. They don't always sync together. More often than not, legs can feel cracky but the chest is delighted, with the mind fluidly flows. Sometimes however, legs are invincible but the chest chokes in the humid heat, and the mind retires early. The most horrible situation is when the mind blocks despite the body being rested. The thought and visualization of being on the road is so disgusting that the mind shuts the imagery down before it can be completed.
But one week ago I realized I cannot reduce it to three parts. It should be n parts because essentially all body parts are vibrating. If one has gone astray, the remaining breaks. Knees, ankles, shoudlers. Tendons, bands, bones. It hurts then needs to stop.
I've increased my mileage to 20 for the weekly long run. All I could think about was your long run is my warm up. Past 6 miles, each mile is a pain. Despair required patience to repair. So I count it two by two, loop by loop.
Acquired Insomnia Seasonal Nausea
Maybe insomnia is innate. Or maybe it's acquired - two shots of expresso with some running makes sleeping difficult. I've been dreaming things for the past two nights. I think my blanket is too thick.
And here winter comes. Nights fall earlier. Cars now get stuck on the bridge in the dark. Breeze brings the smell of early cross country races.
In my dreams, colors are still usual. Cement gets squeezed and wrung into distortions. Basil and mint will not light up a dry winter pit. Body builds repulsion against conditional acquisition.
Nausea is definitely acquired. No one is born to not want to eat. Nausea is a physcial reaction to the dawning of dark corners. A device. It gets activated by seasonal darkness.
Self purging predicates
Insomnia is not a device however. It is a exertion of nausea.
Understanding
The point of not all think the same can only be deepened but never fully understood, because of a very obvious reason that our experience is subjective and we cannot see what others see with our own eyes. With this premise, all behavior should almost be justified.
Yet society unfortunately and necessarily functions with rules, thus beings not conforming to the set of rules are prescribed as having disorders.
DSM-IV-TR describes disorder as a deviation from expectations of one's culture.
